Holy Autumn, Batman!

First thing - we have a title! [!!!] Our comic is called Volition, which means "the act of choosing."

Perhaps even more important than that: Thanks to your input, which we reeeeally appreciated, our comic is not going to involved with The Dark Knight.
When we started forming the first ideas last summer, the purpose of this project was vastly different from what it is now. The more we thought about it, the more tempting it was to write off Nolanverse. After a few weeks filled with raging infernos of internal debate, we made the tough decision to jump into that unknown void of (Actually) Original Characters.

What this means? We're going to have a lot more freedom and creative space to breathe. Ultimately, I think we made the right choice. And hopefully we'll get started very soon. :>

So that's what we've been up to this summer. Look for it this fall!

How loose from the batman mythos is it going to be?

I hesitate to say we won't have any Batman references in the comic, but all the characters are going to be considered fictional and won't be in the story. Example, maybe we'll draw a Dark Knight movie poster to fill up space or have someone wearing the Batman logo, but it's not the main aspect of the plot.

Had we gone the route of fandom, it would have been strictly Nolanverse anyway, which doesn't include most of the DC characters, if that makes you feel better.
